The Polymnia sideboard is the latest addition to the workshop. It proudly joins the list of “iconic” furniture pieces in our collection. The enfilade is presented for the first time at the Révélations Fair at the Grand Palais Ephémère, the biennial of artistic crafts and creation which takes place from June 7 to 11, 2023 in Paris.
The starting point for creating the sideboard comes from the need to reuse our scrap wood. Using small pieces from cutouts, we work on the facades of the row using the mosaic codes. A great classic of decorative arts, mosaic reveals the different shades of wood. “The mosaic appears to structure the Light with an ordered purpose.”
The Greek origin of the term mosaic illustrates what relates to the Muses. The sideboard of Polymnia is a tribute to the Muse of Rhetoric.
